In the early slate of games, the Atlanta Hawks upset the New Orleans Pelicans with a home victory. The Philadelphia 76ers handily beat the Indiana Pacers at home in a game that featured two teams vying for a top half seed in the Eastern Conference. There were also two surprising results in the later games as the San Antonio Spurs beat the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks at home. The Phoenix Suns narrowly beat the Golden State Warriors on the road.

The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Washington Wizards in an overtime thriller after rallying to erase a halftime deficit in the second half. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers saw their playoff chances fade further as a loss to the Boston Celtics made it less likely for the injury-riddled Lakers to get a spot in the NBA Playoffs.

There were several games in NBA last night along with a few early games in the early rounds of conference tournaments. The afternoon also had a full slate of Spring Training games and a few opening matchups to an exciting weekend of soccer from some of Europe’s top leagues.

NBA

The biggest upset of the night was the Los Angeles Clippers’ victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. In a matchup between two of the top teams in their respective conferences, the Houston Rockets beat the Philadelphia 76ers at home in a potential matchup for the NBA Finals. In a game between two of the best teams in the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets.

The Champions League completed the second round of second legs which produced some interesting results. There were several NBA games to finish off the day along with a few important results ahead of conference tournaments this weekend.

NBA

The most surprising result of the night was the Chicago Bulls victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at home. In a matchup of the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks, the Suns pulled further out of the basement of the NBA with their win over the Knicks. In the late game, the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers which makes the task even more difficult for the Lakers to make the NBA Playoffs.
