If you are a sports fan who will truly watch any sport, then yesterday was the day for you. Things got off to an early start with international soccer matches which were followed up by some NCAA Men’s Basketball games. To close out the day, the NBA had a host of games complemented by news from the sports world. Buckle up, as we get you caught up on all of yesterday’s scores and big news.

Last night went from bad to worse as the team lost star point guard Kyrie Irving to an injury, and blew their lead in their loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The New York Knicks losing streak stretched to 16-straight games as they lost to the Toronto Raptors at home. The biggest surprise of the night was the Milwaukee Bucks’ home loss to the Orlando Magic by 20 points.

The Denver Nuggets had another disappointing loss to a team below .500 as they lost on the road to the Brooklyn Nets. The Dallas Mavericks won their game at home against the Charlotte Hornets despite only having half a game from the recently traded Harrison Barnes. The Golden State Warriors boosted their legitimacy by beating the San Antonio Spurs securing an ever tighter grip on the top spot in the Western Conference.

There were no upsets in college basketball as all the ranked teams in action won their games. However, No. 6 Nevada faced a stern road test against conference rivals Colorado State, but Nevada managed to pull away at the end. No. 19 Wisconsin also faced a difficult road game against upset-minded Minnesota who have already defeated some of the best teams in college basketball this year. The best viewing occurred in the SEC matchup between No. 21 LSU and Mississippi State, who recently fell out of the Top 25. In the game, LSU needed a second half rally and overtime to overcome their rivals.

The Denver Nuggets received a road shock when they were beaten by the Detroit Pistons, who were led by a double-double from Andre Drummond. Both the Indiana Pacers and Houston Rockets played close games on the road, but were able to come out on top. The Atlanta Hawks clawed one game closer to .500 when they defeated the Washington Wizards on the road.
